The “Festival Iberoamericano de la Voz” was held in the city of Bogotá - Colombia from June 20 to 23, 2019. In its first edition, the “Festival Viva Voz” distinguished itself by its great organization. Isa Junca, the organizer, took care of all the details so voice talents from more than 17 countries lived a great learning and friendship experience.
Receiving training and conferences from Simone Fojgiel, Dave Fennoy, Emma Rodero, Reynaldo Infante, and Raúl Aldana among other amazing speakers and facilitators gave a first level grade to this voice meeting. In addition, the “Viva Voz Awards” were held in various voice categories. For me, it was an honor to receive nominations in the categories of Best Audiobook Voice, Best E-learning Voice, and a huge satisfaction being awarded as “Best Documentary Voice”. The prize for this category was delivered by Dave Fennoy, which made it an unforgettable event.
For me, this award represents a reminder of our commitment with a high quality service and the responsibility we assume when taking on a project. Thanks to “Festival Viva Voz” and to all my Hispanic voiceover colleagues who were with us at this celebration.
The presence of Rudy Gaskins and Joan Baker (executive directors of SOVAS - Society of Voice Arts and Sciences) was a remarkable highlight of this event.
