My interest in combining my knowledge as a psychologist and VO talent brought me closer to reviewing topics about voice physiology and speech therapy. This made me want to be a part of this event. The way this congress was held was truly surprising due to the level of virtual interaction. Speakers from different countries such as Dr. Johan Sundberg (Sweden), Dr. Ingo Tilze (USA), Dr. Ignacio Cobeta (Spain), VO Mario Filio (Mexico), Dr. Katherine Verdolini (USA), Dr. Carlos Calvache (Colombia) and other distinguished professionals provided high-level information. Dr. Marco Guzman from Chile was the head of the organization. The use of adequate vocal techniques is essential for all voice professionals to feel more secure about their performances. Hearing awareness, prevention from vocal diseases, rehabilitation techniques, etc. were some of the hot topics. VOCAP certainly has given me a new vision about my vocal care and performance.
